Welcome to my playlists page! These collections of songs are what I personally listen to and enjoy at home or when I am out and about. Make sure to follow them in the Spotify app and feel free to share them with your friends. I will continue to add more playlists here in the future, as they come to fruition. This happens about every few months. Enjoy!
I absolutely love electronic music. It all started when I was in college and I was introduced to Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada. I felt as though my life had completely changed and well, it had! There is something very emotional about electronic music that makes me keep coming back for more and more. For this playlist, I tried my hardest to hold back on the weird stuff (because there’s a lot of weird and intense electronic music and I love a lot of it!). But for this collection of songs, I took a chill pill and here are the results. It still might be weird to some but that’s ok- they don’t have to listen! This playlist is perfect for cleaning, working on the computer, cooking in the kitchen (especially prep), or traveling. Basically when I need to get something done, this is my go to.
This playlist originally was inspired by a few good funk songs. To balance it out while toning it down, I’ve sprinkled in some more chill, low key songs creating a fun yet relaxing vibe. This would be perfect to play when cooking dinner or at the very beginning of a intimate dinner party. This playlist would definitely be related to my other collection of songs called ‘Dandelion’. And just like with that playlist, there’s definitely a Tarantino movie nod to this one as well. For sure.
This playlist is just like a jelly bean. It’s cute, it’s sweet, and it’s a bit peculiar. In this grouping of songs, I have highlighted unique voices, funny twangs, and nostalgic vibes. This playlist is a distant relative to ‘Dreampop’, one of the very first mixes I ever created (see down below). Strolling in a park, brewing tea, or a lazy afternoon are perfect examples of when to listen to this one. After a play through, I think you might just understand why I named it so.
Dandelion - This playlist is very special to me because it took a minute to create. It started out with many songs that didn’t end up making the cut. With each listen, a new song would pop into my mind and I would add them to the mix. Sometimes this booted one out… I know it’s cut throat over here. Eventually, it started coming together nicely. As you probably already know, with any good playlist, all the songs have to have a relationship with one another and, in a weird way, these all do. Ideally, this playlist would work perfectly with a campfire on the beach. I know that’s a stretch so a late night dinner party or when guests are just arriving to a function and the wine is being served would work nicely as well. Personally, I listen to it all by myself, when I’m cooking a recipe nice and slow. If you are a fan of Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction soundtrack- this playlist will be right up your alley. Give it a listen, give it a follow, and let me know what you think.
Delightfully So - If you didn't know that I'm an old soul, this handsome playlist will provide plenty of proof in regards to that! Filled with some of the best singer songwriters of our time, this collection of songs should simply make you smile. This will greatly set the mood for a dinner party, opening of a delicious bottle of wine, or cooking with friends in the kitchen. Lastly, this playlists is very personal and I find it to be beautifully emotional. I truly hope that it can be touching for you just as much as it is for me.
La La - This playlist was inspired by driving along the highways of Los Angeles with the windows down and the cool breeze running through my fingers. Idiotically high palm trees were reaching up towards a hot pink and baby blue sky. This memory will forever be imprinted in my brain. And here's a playlist to help bring it to life. Hopping from one place to the next in your car? This is the playlist for you- setting the mood to 'Fabulous'. Preparing yourself for a date in the bathroom, running back and forth from the closet? Maybe feeling yourself... just a tad bit? Another good example of when this play button should be pressed.
Dream Pop - This collection of songs is simply divine. Mellow, uplifting, and slightly sensual. A perfect way to start your day in the morning while taking a shower or later in the day while taking a bubble bath. I've been listening to these songs for ages, so they are very near and dear to my heart. I now invite you to listen to them on your own and to maybe and hopefully feel the same.
