If you have never had a peach banana smoothie, you are in for an absolute treat! When juicy, sweet peaches are blended with creamy and super ripe bananas, you are left with a luxurious texture that is reminiscent of a milkshake or a dessert while being very wholesome and nutrient-dense. (I love it when such simple ingredients can make something so divine!) The trick here is to use the juiciest peaches you can find at peak season with very ripe and speckled bananas. That, in combination with a handful of ice and a splash of water, creates the ultimate peach banana smoothie.

CHOOSING THE BEST PEACHES AND BANANAS
The first step with this recipe is finding the best peaches. I have the luxury of harvesting them from my front yard but the next place I would look would be a local farmers market (June and July are the best months—at least here in the South.) Of course, store-bought peaches are also just fine and that is most likely where you will have to get your bananas.
When it comes to bananas, I know that there are many who don’t like them when they are too ripe but I promise you they really make the smoothie when they are speckled like the ones you see in these images. They are not soft, mind you, just very sweet! If they are soft, then they would probably be better for something like banana bread or pancakes. (If they are too far gone, the texture will be a bit off for this smoothie, so don’t overdo it.)
BLENDING THE SMOOTHIE
As for blending, it couldn’t be easier. Simply throw all of the ingredients into the container and blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth and creamy. In addition to the peaches and bananas, I like to add a big handful of ice to chill the final smoothie and a big splash of water to help blend everything together. My favorite blender to use is a Vitamix.
FRUIT RATIO
When it comes to the ratio, I personally use 3 large bananas to 4 medium peaches. If the peaches are smaller, I would go up to 5 or 6. Ultimately, the final ratio is up to you. I have had versions of the recipe that are more banana-heavy and I loved it. I’ve also had it where it was more peach-heavy and it was lovely. You do you.
ENJOY THIS PEACH BANANA SMOOTHIE
Once blended, simply pour into a jar and enjoy! I hope that y’all love this smoothie recipe as much as I do. It is one of my favorite combinations ever. If you do make it, please leave a review and comment below. I’d love to hear from you!
