In this roundup, I am sharing with you my favorite comfort movies that make me feel good! Whether it be to warm your heart during a sad time or end a busy day with something relaxing and comforting, these movies will certainly help to brighten your day. 1. MY COUSIN VINNY
A couple from New York heads to Alabama to help a family member that’s in trouble with the law. One of the funniest movies out there!
2. CORRINA, CORRINA
A housekeeper/nanny is hired to help a family in need in the 1950s. Heartwarming and beautifully shot. The music for this film is also a 10/10.
3. A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN
Based on the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, this film is an American classic.
4. MRS. DOUBTFIRE
A father has to go to great lengths to spend time with his kids after a divorce. Undoubtedly one of the funniest movies ever made!
5. PRETTY WOMAN
A prostitute and a successful business man fall in love in LA. Iconic film from the 90s.
6. TROOP BEVERLY HILLS
A boujee Beverly Hills mom unexpectedly becomes a troop leader for her daughter’s girl scout troop. Totally camp and totally amazing.
7. DIRTY DANCING
A young woman has to learn how to dance to help a friend in need. Although there are some tough storylines in here, this is ultimately a feel-good to me. Cheesy and romantic in the best way possible!
8. DON’T TELL MOM THE BABYSITTER’S DEAD
A daughter unexpectedly is in charge of taking care of the family after the babysitter dies and has to fake her way to the top. Truly one of the greatest comedies of all time!
9. FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF
This film needs no introduction. The comedic timing and pace of this film is just brilliant!
10. OVERBOARD
After a spoiled, wealthy yacht owner loses her memory, she is thrown into the role of being a mother of a family. Absolutely hysterical! *Please note this is the original! Not the remake.
11. SISTER ACT
A woman in danger must be disguised as a nun in this comedy classic.
12. FATHER OF THE BRIDE
Heartwarming story of a younger daughter who is getting married and her father’s reaction.
13. THE BIRDCAGE
A gay couple has to pretend to be straight in front of a conservative couple. This one is sure to have you laughing out loud!
14. GHOST
A young man is killed and turns into a ghost. Now he must try to explain to his girlfriend who killed him. Although parts of this are sad, it ultimately is a comedy and a very feel-good movie by the end!
15. THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
An innocent prisoner plans his great escape. (I questioned whether or not this would be considered a feel-good movie, as it’s not a light and fluffy movie but the ending is happy and it’s such an excellent movie, I decided to add it!) Please check out this amazing documentary about the making of the film after you watch it.
16. JERRY MAGUIRE
A handsome sports agent has to figure out how to pick himself back up and start his career again. An iconic romantic comedy.
17. CLUELESS
A campy story of high school students in Beverly Hills. One of the most iconic movies of all time!
18. BRIDGET JONES’S DIARY
A young woman looking for love. The true definition of romantic comedy!
19. FORREST GUMP
The funny story of an odd man. A classic that I watch at least once a year.
20. AS GOOD AS IT GETS
An unexpected love story of a grumpy author and a waitress. Great cast and heartwarming.
21. NEVER BEEN KISSED
A writer has to disguise herself as a high school student for a story. (I recognize that this film didn’t age very well but I still love it!)
22. HAPPY GILMORE
A hockey player tries to play golf in this over-the-top comedy. This one always has me laughing.
23. MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING
A young woman introduces her new love to her family in this heartwarming romantic comedy.
24. ROMY AND MICHELE’S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION
Two stylish women decide to check out their high school reunion. Super funny and lovable.
25. THE WEDDING SINGER
A wedding singer falls in love with a waitress in this lovely comedy. The music is excellent as it’s set in the 80s!
26. VIEW FROM THE TOP
A young woman pursues her dreams of becoming a flight attendant. Cheesy in a great way.
27. THE EMPEROR’S NEW GROOVE
A man has to convince the emperor to not take his land. This one always has me laughing. Instant mood elevator.
28. JULIE & JULIA
The tale of two different woman who explore their love for cooking.
29. IT’S COMPLICATED
Nancy Meyer’s best work if you ask me! The funny story of a divorced couple exploring a romantic relationship decades later.
30. BRIDESMAIDS
I could not have a list of feel-good movies without this one. I’m sure you’ll agree!

On of my all time faves is “How to Make an American Quilt.” Classic Winona Ryder. This movie is perfection.
